Not far from Tahiti lies a magical island.
It is inhabited with vast marine life just as friendly as tahitians.
A ray will probably come and hug you.
Here, a poisson sole (Sole fish) lies shyly on the ocean bed.
Urchins and pahua (giant clams) are a delicacy for tahitians, eaten with the juice of lemon.
And the tiniest little
bernard l'hermite (hermit crab)
you'll ever see.
Motus (small islets on the reef) are scattered around the island. Some tahitians have built their own homes there.
More often than not,
you will see chickens
wandering about the island.
Only a short ferry ride away, you can still see Tahiti island in the distance.
They are sister islands.
